Indian Audience have witnessed biggest epic of this soil ” Mahabharata” by Vyasa more only on small screen in late eighties on National Doordarshan Produced & Directed by Late BR Chopra & Ravi chopra.
In Early days of Indian Cinema evolution era mainly in south indian film industries like Kannada, Telugu & Tamil have made extractions or some characters point of view of Mahabharata before social era films came full fledged.
Now udupi origin UAE based businessman & philanthropist Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty alias BR Shetty have came forward to invest 1000 crores for the biggest epic ” Mahabharata” in multi Indian & other international languages.
The news was broke out on his social media by legendary actor Dr. Mohan lal who is considered to play Bhimas role & from this character point of view story is taken forward in the costliest Indian Film which is going to floors in late year 2018 in two parts and expected to be released by year 2020.
Mohan Lal versatile actor & multi award winner of Indian cinema always passion towards experiment and always interested in mythologies & epics characters. Earlier he even enacted Karna role in “Karnabharam ” in theater based on Sanskrit play written by Great poet Basa.
The film is based on Multi award recipients writer of Malayalam MT Vasudevan Nairs book “Randamoozham” who is also now scripting the film.
This film will be amalgamation of best of actors & technicians from both India & International which will be finalized & announced soon and will be directed by Ad film maker / Film maker VA Shrikumar.
