The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Govt of Karnataka, will host a two-day national conference, “Rashtriya Swaraj Samelana,” on November 13-14 2024, celebrating 30 years since the implementation of the Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act. The event will bring together national and international thought leaders, experts from rural development, panchayat raj, education, economics and law for in-depth discussions, workshops and roundtable sessions. Key outcomes from this landmark conference will form the ‘Karnataka Panchayat Raj Declaration’, a strategic charter outlining the vision and roadmap for the Gram Swaraj system in Karnataka and the Nation over the next decade.
