Karnataka’s government hosted today tackling rural water and sanitation challenges through the Karnataka Rural Water and Sanitation Sustainability Summit, in Bengaluru. Themed “Harnessing Innovation for a Water Secure Future,” the summit aimed to unite stakeholders to drive innovative solutions for water scarcity and sanitation in rural Karnataka.
The event featured addresses from the experts from Netherlands, and Israel, along with panel discussions ,sessions on future water security, tech solutions in water conservation and sanitation initiatives.

With 119 startups participated, the top 20 start-ups pitched their solutions, competing for a funding pool of 25 lakhs and a chance to pilot their innovations with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.
Focus areas included water conservation, sustainable management, water quality and advanced water technologies.
The meet was organised by the Dept of Electronics , Information technology and Bio Technology [ E,IT & BT ] in collaboration with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj [ RDPR ].
