49th Annual General Meeting of the U.S.-India Business Council

Minister Piyush Goyal addressed the 49th Annual General Meeting of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC).

He highlighted the potential for enhanced collaboration in areas such as supply chain resilience, cutting-edge technology and critical minerals by leveraging each other’s strengths.

He also emphasised India’s commitment to improving ease of doing business to further strengthen our strategic partnership and ensure the prosperity of our countries.

The future of U.S.-Indian partnership is bright, and 2047 is a firm north star that we can all work towards.

As the USIBC prepares to celebrate our fiftieth anniversary this next year, we are eager to continue building on the momentum of our first half-century to support India’s priorities in her first 100 years.

Our esteemed guests at the Board & Sponsors Dinner reception heard from an array of speakers and leaders touching on all aspects of the relationship and role of US-Indian industry in the India 2047 story, providing a window into the coming celebration of India-US partnership at the India Ideas Summit.

Our guests benefitted from a range of voices in addition to keynote addresses by Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep S Puri and Kyndryl CEO Martin Schroeter, and a fireside chat between Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu and Ralph Voltmer, Partner at Covington LLP.

 

Remarks included those by Executive Vice Chairman of Nasdaq Ed Knight, the President of International at TransUnion Todd Skinner, the Chairman of International at
Marsh McLennan Alex Moczarski, President for Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa at Fedex Kami Viswanathan, and Senior Director and Head of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs at Zscaler Brendan Peter..

USIBC was also delighted to host Donald Lu, the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs at the State Dept
in fireside chat with Ralph Voltmer, Partner at Covington LLP . It was a wonderful and beneficial discussion with the members of our Global Board setting the scene of the current moment.
