Ebix Expands Risk Compliance Solutions With AI-Led Platform Upgrade

Ebix today announced a major expansion of its Risk Compliance Solutions (RCS) business, reinforcing its leadership position in certificate tracking and compliance while accelerating investment in AI-driven modernization and a broader risk-management platform. The expansion is particularly relevant for large enterprises in India, where contractor and vendor compliance is increasingly under regulatory and operational scrutiny.

As part of this expansion, Ebix has appointed Robert Rodriguez as Chief Technology Officer for RCS, Allison Shearer as Head of Sales, and Gwen Olvera as Head of Operations. Robert and Allison are seasoned industry veterans returning to the Ebix family after holding senior roles at competing platforms, bringing with them deep familiarity with enterprise clients and the operational realities of regulated markets. This experience is especially critical in India, where enterprises across infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, logistics, energy, and BFSI manage large, complex vendor ecosystems.

The modernized RCS platform introduces advanced document reading and extraction capabilities designed to eliminate manual data entry and enable straight-through validation for standard cases. For Indian enterprises that currently rely on manual, email- and spreadsheet-driven compliance processes, this represents a significant shift toward automation and risk transparency. Clients will benefit from interactive, AI-driven dashboards that answer natural-language questions, surface exceptions, and guide next steps in real time.

Beyond certificate tracking, RCS is expanding into exposure management and certificate issuance, supported by open APIs that integrate seamlessly with procurement, ERP, and broker systems. This is aligned with the growing regulatory focus in India on contractor safety, insurance coverage, ESG compliance, and third-party risk management.

As part of this transformation, Ebix is also introducing EbixOne (ONE), a unified AI assistant that brings conversational intelligence directly into RCS workflows. ONE allows clients to ask questions, review compliance status, trigger actions, and interact with risk data through a single, intuitive interface.

“Risk Compliance and Management is a key vertical for us, and certificate tracking remains a flagship product,” said Gagan Sethi, CEO of Ebix Technology. “We are investing to lead this category with a broader, AI-powered platform and an open architecture. India represents a natural next market for structured, technology-led compliance platforms, given the scale of enterprise vendor ecosystems and the pace of regulatory evolution. In fact we have already started to pilot the solutions with some Indian companies.”

“Ebix has long set the pace in this industry, and this modernization puts us firmly back in front,” said Darren Joseph, Chief Operating Officer at Ebix. “Our existing operations, delivery capabilities, and talent base in India position us well to support enterprise-grade deployments as the market matures.”

The risk-compliance market has seen a rise in narrowly focused point solutions in recent years. Ebix’s advantage lies in its scale and breadth: a hybrid model that combines advanced technology with an experienced operations bench, a roadmap that spans certificate tracking, issuance, and exposure management, and the capital commitment to continue investing through market cycles. This hybrid model is particularly suited to India, where regulatory complexity and operational scale require both technology and execution depth.

Ebix is preparing to expand RCS internationally, with India identified as a key growth market, where industries such as construction, infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, energy, and commercial real estate rely heavily on contractor compliance and third-party risk controls. Ebix’s established processing, BPO, and support teams in India provide a strong foundation for localized delivery and scale.
