As many New Year’s health resolutions begin to fade by March, RiteBite Max Protein launched a public awareness initiative titled “Take a Step Towards Your Protein Snacking Resolution.” The 10-day activation at Mumbai Metro’s Western Express Highway Station encouraged commuters to translate their health intentions into everyday dietary habits, with more than 9,000 commuters switching from regular snacks to protein-rich alternatives during the campaign.
India continues to face a significant nutrition gap, with studies indicating that over 80% of urban Indians do not meet their recommended daily protein intake. While many people begin the year with resolutions to eat healthier and improve their diets, the momentum often fades as daily routines take over and habitual snacking patterns return.
To bridge this gap between intention and action, RiteBite Max Protein introduced a behaviour-led activation in one of Mumbai’s busiest commuter corridors, engaging consumers at the exact moment they are most likely to reach for a quick snack.
As part of the initiative, distinctive yellow-and-black footsteps were placed across the station pathways, guiding commuters toward Max Protein kiosks. The visual cues prompted people to pause, reconsider their snacking choices, and take a small but meaningful step toward a protein-rich alternative.
The activation highlighted how simple behavioural cues in public spaces can influence healthier decisions, encouraging consumers to rethink what they reach for when hunger strikes during a busy day.
Tarun Arora, CEO, Zydus Wellness, said, “India’s protein gap represents one of the most significant opportunities in the nutrition landscape today. While awareness is steadily rising, meaningful progress will come when protein is seamlessly integrated into everyday diets and not confined only to new year resolutions. Through Max Protein’s latest campaign, we aim to democratize access to protein-rich snacking while nudging consumers toward small yet impactful behavioural shifts that transform intent into sustained action.”
As protein awareness continues to rise in India, the initiative reflects a broader shift in consumer behaviour, from indulgent, empty-calorie snacks toward functional foods that support daily health and sustained energy.
‘Through ‘Take a Step Towards Your Protein Snacking Resolution,’ Zydus Wellness RiteBite Max Protein continues to strengthen its position as a category leader in protein snacking, aligned with the broader shift towards functional, better-for-you foods. The initiative reinforces the belief that conscious protein consumption is not a once a year resolution, but a daily habit.
