It was nostalgic movements for all Cast & Crew of year 1992 trendsetter film ” Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar ” at movie mela in JIO MAMI 2016. Director Shakun Batra who was curator of movie mela segment very aptly chosen this film which is today considered as timeless cult classic by both film fraternity and audiences.

Rajeev Masand and Anupama chopra played perfect compering whole sessions which saw most main lead cast & crew present with cynosure being Actor Aamir Khan & Director Mansoor Khan.

Mansoor Khan revealed that film undergone many re shoots due walk out of artistes and to make film right and at one point of the time want to give up but it was Aamir Khan who firmly supported and stood by him and the film.

Kulbhushan Kharbandha who played vital role in the film could not be present physically but shared video message which was played at the venue.

Actor Aamir khan who came with his real daughter Ira Khan and his reel daughters from his ready to release film Dangaal heighten the spirit through out the event by his charismatic talks and witty acts of pulling legs of his cast & crew also his engaging live interactions with the audience.

For one of question asked to him what changes he has gone since this film in last 20 + years he joked broke one marriage and went for another marriage.

In between many scenes and evergreen Pehala Nasha song also working stills of the film was played on.
But till the Aamir insisting on playing one particular scene with above shoulder shot between him & Kulbhushan over dinning table to be screened to the organisers, hosts, his co members also to audience which till the end never happen even though some enthusiast audience try to show that scene on their smart phones to Aamir.

Choreographer and Director Farah Khan who was Assistant Director for the film turned Independent Choreographer with this film with the song ” Pehala nasha ” underlined that this film changed her career and the path also talked about she auditioned many big names now who were in early days of their career at that time like Akshay Kumar, Sheeba etc for supporting roles.Same was agreed with many present there and one main key person was Music Director Lalit pandit of Jatin -Lalit duo whose first film was this and who got offers later on because of this film and went on to score biggest blockbusters with next film makers like Aditya chopra and Karan Johar.

His son was present and enthralled the audience by playing pehala nasha song on key board.

Late Lyricst Majrooh sahab was remembered by everybody whose contribution to the film was very big.

Lead actress Ayesha Jhulka shared her accident incident to forehead happen during climax shooting and how she overcome that pain and participated in shooting since it will affect shooting schedules and Pooja bedi also shared some nostalgic movements and pranks played by Aamir,height issues between her and him during the shooting also talked because of her professional and humble behaviour during audition only landed up her role in the film. Deepak trijori, Kiran zaveri ,Mamik singh also talked their experiences and Aamir’s nephew Imran Khan who played child artiste in the film said he did acting just to escape from school and to be hang out with his uncles Mansoor and Aamir.

Last but not the least every body agreed that this film is timeless cult classic and insisted that Mansoor khan to return to the film direction which he politely refused.
