The Government of Karnataka, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah, convened the 65th meeting of the State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC)today along withMinister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Shri M.B. Patil, the committee approved 6 investment proposals amounting to INR 15,441.17 crore. These investments are expected to generate employment opportunities for 5,277 people, reaffirming Karnataka’s position as a preferred investment destination in India.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar; Minister for Energy, Shri K.J. George; Minister for Agriculture, Shri N. The committee approved 4 new investment proposals amounting to INR 13,921 crore, which will create 3,948 jobs. Notable among these are Emmvee Energy Private Limited, which plans to invest INR 5,495 crore and generate 2,508 jobs; Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, which received approval for two proposals worth INR 3,000 crorein Yadawad, Belagavi districtwith employment opportunity of 570 peopleand INR 3,020 crore in Chittapur, Kalaburagi district,creating job opportunity of 570 people and Shree Cement Limited, which will invest INR 2,406 crore and provide employment to 300 people.
In addition to the new proposals, 2 additional investment and amendment proposals were approved, totalingINR 1,520.17 crore and expected to generate 1,329 jobs. These include Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., which will invest INR 1,330 crore, creating 958 jobs, and Colortone Textiles Private Limited, which plans to invest INR 190.17 crore and generate 371 job opportunities.
Overall, the State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) approved investments worth INR 15,441.17 crore in today’s meeting, encompassing both new and expansion proposals. These projects will create employment opportunities for 5,277 individuals and further bolster Karnataka’s industrial growth trajectory.
Further, the committee granted extension of time and additional land allotments for 10 amendment project proposals at various stages of implementation. These include prominent projects such as:
- JSW Neo Energy Ltd – to establish 300 MW Pumped Storage project
- Exide Industries Limited – Allotment of 20 acres of additional land at Hi-tech Defence and Aerospace Park- Phase-II, Devenahalli Taluk, Bengaluru District.
- SLR Metaliks Limited – Implementation of project in 2 Phases till 2027-28
- Rasasri Tech Park LLP – to establish Integrated Township
- Vanya Steels Private Limited – to establish Beneficial, Sponge Iron, Billet Plant, Induction Furnaces with LRF, Rolling Mill, Pipe Mill, Galvanizing Plant, Oxygen Plant, Cement Grinding unit and Captive Power Plant of 34 MW
- Indian Cane Power Limited – to establish 15,000 TCD Sugar Plant With 70 MW Cogen Power Plant & 180 KLPD Distillery Plant
- Khayati Pipes and Power Private Limited – to establish Integrated Steel Plant – Beneficiation and Pellet Plant, Sponge Iron, HR, CR and GI Coils, Pipes & Rolls with 40MW captive power
- G M Sugar and Energy Limited – enhancement of Co-Generation capacity from 30 MW to 32 MW
- UltraTech Cement Limited – to establish 4.0 MTPA Clinker, 5.0 MTPA Cement, 20 MW of Waste Heat Recovery System and 5.1 MTPA Limestone manufacturing unit
- Uflex Limited – to establish Polyester Film, BOPP Film, CPP Film
