Inauguration of SPARSH Outreach Programme at PCDA Complex, Bengaluru

The SPARSH Outreach Programme was inaugurated today at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the PCDA Complex, Bengaluru, to address and resolve all SPARSH-related issues and grievances of Defence pensioners and family pensioners.

The event was inaugurated by Lt Gen J.K. Gera, Commandant, ASC Centre & College, Maj Gen V.T. Mathew, AVSM, YSM, GOC, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area, Maj Gen Harish Bhutani, Commandant, Selection Centre South, and Shri Pramod Kumar, IDAS, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA), Bengaluru.

The ceremony was attended by Army dignitaries, IDAS officers, and a large gathering of defence pensioners. The SPARSH Outreach Programme aims to facilitate direct interaction between pensioners and officials to provide on-the-spot assistance, guidance, and support for all SPARSH and pension-related queries. A Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign is also being conducted during the programme.

During the event, the issues of around 250 pensioners were resolved on the spot, reflecting the effectiveness of the initiative and the commitment of the Defence Accounts Department and the Indian Army to the welfare of veterans.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries lauded the collaborative efforts undertaken to bridge the gap between pensioners and the system, emphasizing that SPARSH is a step forward in ensuring transparency, accessibility, and prompt service to all beneficiaries through modern technology.

The programme also featured interactive sessions, assistance counters, and awareness modules to help pensioners navigate the SPARSH platform with greater ease
