Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy as part of encouraging & promoting good kannada films recently organised special screening of Successfully running film ” Istakamya ” Directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar recently.
The show was houseful and many audience came for screening didn’t mind to sit on floor or stand to watch the film.
The screening had presence of Director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, Producer Shankare gowda, Actress Mayuri,with KCA Chairman SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Information & Broadcasting Secretary for Govt of Karnataka NR Vishu Kumar,KCA Registar HB Dinesh and other cast & crew,dignitaries and interacted with audience in the theatre.
Senior film journalist, critic and writer Girish Rao [ Jogi ] highlighted positiveness in the film which is based on Novel by Dodderi Venkatagiri Rao and expressed having similarities of Nagathihali Chandrashekhar films with Maniratnam films. Also Said actress Mayuri performance reminds yesteryears multi award winning Kannada actress Kalapana.
KCA Chairman Rajendra Singh Babu urged Govt of Karnataka to give more subsidies to meaningful Kannada films based on original and novel based stories.
Director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar expressed his happiness for film going successfully and asked attended audience to watch repeatedly with family and friends at theatres.
Actress Mayuri thanked for support and compliments getting for her performance and gave credit to Nagthihalli Chandrashekhar.
Istakamya which is running successfully all over Karnataka State is releasing in other parts of India and abroad in June and July weeks with English subtitles. Please watch it in the theatres and support good Kannada films.
