Rohit Sharma Backed LEO1 Expands in Bangalore with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Partnership

Rohit Sharma-backed LEO1, an edu-fintech company, has expanded its footprint in Bangalore through a strategic partnership with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). Together, they have introduced India’s first Fee Reimbursement Card, a groundbreaking solution that simplifies education expense management, incentivizes students, and improves financial transactions.

The Fee Reimbursement Card is a secure, numberless prepaid card that safeguards students’ financial and personal information. Integrated with a mobile app, the card enables tuition fee payments, daily transactions, and offers rewards like cashback and LEO1 coins. Students and parents can redeem these coins at over 175 merchant partners, including Zomato, Myntra, Uber and many more, turning regular fee payments into cost-saving opportunities and additional benefits.
JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) will benefit from a plug-and-play fee management software that simplifies administrative processes by tracking fee payments in real time and managing student data efficiently. The partnership will also address irregular cash flow issues through LEO1’s incentivization module, reducing manual efforts and enabling the university to focus on expanding its academic and operational offerings.
Mr. Rohit Gajbhiye, Managing Director & Founder, LEO1, said, “One of the critical challenges in the education sector is managing fees efficiently, which often leads to financial stress for both students and institutions. At LEO1, we are addressing this issue with India’s first fee-reimbursement card. By offering redeemable ‘coins’ with every payment, students gain access to discounts and vouchers, helping them recover a portion of their fees and making education more affordable.”

He further added, “We are delighted to partner with Jain University, Bangalore, to implement this impactful solution. This collaboration is set to transform the financial ecosystem for students and institutions, enabling Jain University to deliver an even stronger educational experience while empowering students to achieve their academic aspirations.”

Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Chancellor, Jain (Deemed to-be University) says “At JGI Bangalore, we are committed to adopting innovative solutions that enhance the experience for our students, parents, and the institution. Through our partnership with LEO1, we are proud to introduce India’s first fee-reimbursement card, which not only simplifies expense management for students but also rewards them for timely payments. By embracing these smart campus solutions, we aim to promote financial awareness among students and improve operational efficiency, creating a more connected and rewarding experience for everyone.”

LEO1’s platform offers additional features such as easy-EMI fee financing. They can top up their wallet, monitor spending, and instill better money management habits. Over the past few months, more than 5 lakh students have benefited from LEO1’s innovative solutions, significantly reducing their financial burdens and enhancing financial security.
