During International Film Festival of Kerala 2022 under Symposium of Malayalam Filmmakers topic Big Screen & OTT platforms panel discussions was held.

Audience were most are most from Film Makers & Media Fraternity, while many from todays generation felt OTT was right choice but some serious film makers felt Cinema is always meant for Big Screen.
Sangeetha Jnachandran & Vijay Babu responded to my question of OTT Platforms accessibility to New Film Makers that via their websites or web links film makers can approach by submitting or uploading their synopsis | teaser or trailers etc based on the assessment their team will respond but since all platforms have huge submissions & back log pending its only time factor to respond.
Former CEO of Excel Entertainment from the audience added that most of OTT platforms first ventured & invested with Big Stars & Production companies of Hindi Film Industry & Mumbai later when they exhausts now turning towards South Indian Film Industry & Anurag Kasyaps “Sacred Games” was game changer for OTT in India under original contents.
But over all still Kerala Film Exhibitors community not happy with film makers opting for direct OTT Release.
