Technology in Kannada Films at GAFX 2018 was one of its first kind big platform for Kannada Film Industry to showcase itself with the participants from various National & International Participants from Animation, Vfx & Gaming Industry.

Before the panel discussions a slide presentation of evolution of technology used in earlier Kannada films mainly from mythological , historical & folk fores themes were stop block , Mask shots for double roles , back projections , slow & fast motion techniques mainly done with Mitchell Camera & Optical printing were presented.
Presentation were welly showcased from Adarsh Eshwarappa mainly from Dr Rajkumar , Dr.Vishnuvardhan , Dr Ambareesh , Shankarnag & V.Ravichandran films which got thunder applause from the jam packed audience.
Srimurali spoke high about technologies which were used in earlier films especially from Dr Rajkumar landmark films before introduction of CGI.
Also open spoke about his career highs and lows phase which made him very humble and grounded.
Yateesh Babu spoke about their ambitious project Kurushetra 3D which has big budget , starcast , sets and large utility of CGI and Vfx.
Also making video of Kurushetra was screened.
Shanti Sagar alumini of Karnataka Government Cinematography Polytechnic [ SJP ] whose work got noticed in first debut hit film “Gultoo”
spoke about challenges facing in first film.
Late Cameraman R.Madhusudhan was made to remember who was instrumental in bringing technological advancements through Camera and optical works before CGI.
