In recently organised “The Hindu Huddle 2017” 3 days conclave noted Hindi Film maker Karan Johar & Stand up Comedian Tanmay Bhat along with Historian Mukul Kesavan were speakers for the topic “The Republic of Hurt Sentiments”.
They both over long discussions emphasized that creative freedom of artistes and film makers should not be curbed and political parties should not target entertainment industry for their vested interests.
For one of the query raised to Mr Karan Johar regarding why Hindi Film Industry doesn’t unite for targeted victims and protests by hitting streets which is mainly followed in the southern film industries, the ace film maker acknowledge the same and accepted there is lack of unity with in the film industry and don’t know the answer why it is and responded hopefully will try to adopt strategies like Southern film industries to over come problems & issues. Tanmay Bhat also just added to him just like remaking south films will also remake attitude and strategies.
