In a powerful effort to raise awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has launched a bold and visually compelling anti-tobacco campaign across multiple Indian cities to mark Anti-Tobacco Day 2025. The initiative underscores the Bank’s core brand promise — “Build a Better Life” — by encouraging citizens to make healthier lifestyle choices.
At the heart of the campaign is a striking, thought-provoking installation at one of Bengaluru’s busiest locations — the bus shelter outside Kanteerava Stadium on Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road. This unique display features a life-sized cigarette structure emitting real smoke, accompanied by the bold message: “To quit isn’t always wrong.” Designed to gain attention and ignite dialogue, the installation underscores the grave dangers of tobacco use and has already become a talking point across the city. The campaign’s impact stretches far beyond Bengaluru. In Chennai, over 40 LED screens relay the anti-tobacco message across major public spaces. Two prominent digital hoardings in Bengaluru add further reach. Moreover, more than 300 display boards have been strategically deployed across key cities, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Varanasi — creating a ripple effect that reinforces the urgency of quitting tobacco.
On the initiative, Mr. Lakshman Velayutham, Chief Marketing Officer, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank said “At Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, our mission has always been to help communities build better lives. This campaign is a reflection of that commitment, using creativity and impactful messaging to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco. We hope it inspires people to make healthier choices for themselves and their families.
