Boring Climate Conference 2026 was held by GPS renewables Powered by Pickle Jar in Bengaluru.
The theme & topic sessions were around Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage Technology (CCUS) in India where Govt of India announced in its Union Budget 2026-27 a Rs 20,000-crore scheme to scale up carbon capture, storage and utilisation across five high-emitting industrial sectors.
The opening remarks & context settings was done by V. Subramanian, IAS Former Bureaucrat who is veteran in this field who also highlighted present West Asia war Crisis of LPG Supply hit facing & shifting to Piped Natural Gas [ PNG ] would save huge to the Consumer & the Country.
The MoU was signed between GPS Renewables & Lummus Technology for Ethanol-to-Jet (ETJ) in the event.
Mainak Chakraborty CEO of GPS renewables moderated fire side chat with Dr Anjan Ray Director, CSIR -Indian Institute of Petroleum & Dr Ashish Lele Director CSIR-NCL on CCUS movement in India.
Roundtable sessions titled “from Molecules to Market” what it takes to scale CCUS in India “with Vivek Polshettiwar , Sebastian Peter ,Rajnish Kumar , Chinmoy Ranjan , Sushma Rawat ,Lovish Ahuja Ashish Goel & Vishnu Rajeev in the panel had detailed discussions & inputs.
