MEDICAL TRAINING CENTRE CONDUCTS THE 8th ALLIED AND HEALTHCARE SEMINAR ON ‘MODERNIZATION OF PRIMARY HEALTHCARE IN DEFENCE FORCES TO MEET THE MODERN WAR SCENARIO’

Medical Training Centre (MTC), Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted 8th allied and healthcare seminar on ‘Modernization of Primary Healthcare in Defence Forces to meet the Modern War Scenario’ on 17 and 18 August 2026. The seminar aimed to provide the Medical Assistants with a comprehensive overview to strengthen frontline medical preparedness for evolving operational challenges. As the only event of its kind for the continuing medical education of Medical Assistants within the Defence Forces, it is uniquely conducted for Medical Assistants, by Medical Assistants.

The Chief Guest, Air Vice Marshal SGS Datta, Principal Medical Officer (PMO), Headquarters Training Command (HQTC) inaugurated the seminar on 17 August 2026. Approximately 200 allied and healthcare professionals from the Indian Air Force, Indian Army and Indian Navy along with delegates from the Karnataka State Allied and Healthcare Council (KAHC) attended the seminar.

During the two-day event various scientific sessions and insightful discussions were held on contemporary topics, including the strengthening of Primary Healthcare Infrastructure in Tri-Services, Human Resource Development & Training in Defence Healthcare and Operational, Combat & Disaster Preparedness in Primary Healthcare. The occasion provided the opportunity to engage with experts, share best practices and discuss innovative solutions to address the complex challenges of primary healthcare in the era of Modern Warfare.
