Government of Karnataka takes Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 to Chennai; industry leaders, technology companies, investors and entrepreneurs engage on opportunities at Asia’s leading technology and innovation platform

The Government of Karnataka’s industry interaction meet in Chennai ahead of the 29th Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2026 has generated strong interest among Chennai’s technology and business community, with industry leaders, technology companies, investors and entrepreneurs engaging with Karnataka on opportunities to participate in and collaborate through the Summit. More than 300 companies from Chennai participated in the industry interaction meet, signaling the strong interest in Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 and the opportunities it offers for technology, innovation and collaboration.

The Chennai Industry Interaction Meet, organised as part of the Government of Karnataka’s outreach ahead of BTS 2026, provided the technology and startup ecosystem in Tamil Nadu an opportunity to understand the scale and opportunities at this year’s Summit, which will be held from 17–19 November 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, under the theme ‘AI & Beyond’.

The interaction brought together senior representatives from Karnataka’s technology ecosystem and leading members of Chennai’s industry and innovation community. Dr. N. Manjula, IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Government of Karnataka, shared insights into Karnataka’s technology ecosystem and the opportunities for deeper industry collaboration. “ Bengaluru Tech Summit has evolved into a platform that brings together technology ecosystems, industries and innovators not just from Karnataka, but from across India and the world.

The discussions highlighted the breadth of opportunities at BTS 2026 for technology companies, startups, investors, researchers and innovators, while also exploring possibilities for stronger collaboration between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu’s technology ecosystems. With 1,800+ exhibitors, 25,000+ delegates, 1,000+ technology startups and over 60,000 business visitors expected from 75+ countries and 30+ States and Union Territories, BTS 2026 is set to bring together a diverse global community across Artificial Intelligence, DeepTech, Electronics & Semiconductors, Biotechnology, Startups, AVGC and other frontier technologies.

The Summit will feature thematic tracks spanning AI & DeepTech, Fintech, Health & Biotech, Spacetech, the India-USA Tech Conclave and Global Collaboration, alongside emerging areas including Digital Infrastructure & Data Centres, Circular Economy, Orange Economy and Electric Mobility.

The Future Makers programme will provide high-potential startups with opportunities to connect with investors, mentors and global markets through investor pitching sessions, one-on-one mentoring clinics, thematic discussions on scaling and fundraising, the Startup Showcase and the Future Makers Conclave. A major highlight of BTS 2026 will be the co-location of the maiden India edition of embedded world India by NuernbergMesse India, bringing a global platform for electronics, semiconductors and embedded systems to Bengaluru.
