15th Edition of Bengaluru International Film Festival [ BIFFES ] 2024 opened with inaugural ceremony on Febuary 29 2024 evening at grand steps of Vidhana Soudha.
Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramiah along with some of his political colleagues & Galaxy of Film Fraternity presence from across the world in which prominent names were Dr Shivrajkumar , Dhanjaya , Aradhana Ram , Jayamala , NM Suresh , Jabbar Patel , Nagana , Umesh Banakar etc along with newly appointed Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairman Sadhu Kokila.
It is noted that this BIFFES this year is special as it is also happens to be 90 years of Kannada Film Industry [ Talkie ] & 50 years of Naming ceremony of Karnataka state.
On this above ocassion special edition book on 90 years of Kannada Film Industry [ Talkies ] was released by the dignitaries.
Actor & Producer Dhanjaya requested to Hon CM to clear all State film Subsidies & Awards backlog over 4 years in his speech for which CM responded positively it will be done asap.
The Festival with across 200 films from various categories is happening and will end on March 07 2024.
