BANGALORE – Cadets from the NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa delivered a stellar performance at the prestigious All India GV Mavalankar Shooting Competition, bringing top honors to the state with a impressive tally of medals and national qualifications. Demonstrating exceptional marksmanship, discipline, and grit on the range, the sharpshooters secured two Gold and three bronze medals, alongside key qualifications for the upcoming National Shooting Championship.
Leading the Directorate’s campaign, Senior Under Officer (SUO) Yogaraj Ramagonatti of 28 Kar Bn NCC clinched the gold medal in the Open Prone event. In a standout performance, Sergeant Gowri S from 1 Kar Bn NCC earned Gold in the Open 3 Position (3P) category while setting a New Meet Record. In addition to the podium finishes, six cadets earned their spots to represent the Directorate at the national level competitions.
Commending the achievements, Deputy Director General Air Commodore Kamal Chadha praised the cadets and Officials for their unwavering dedication and target focus, noting that their remarkable success reflects the finest traditions of the National Cadet Corps.
