Bengaluru: Perfetti Van Melle India’s Alpenliebe has partnered with Swiggy to launch the ‘Alpenliebe Sweetest City Challenge’, an initiative aimed at encouraging customers to show small gestures of kindness, gratitude and warmth towards delivery partners.Speaking about the initiative, Gunjan Khetan, Marketing Director, Perfetti Van Melle India, said that the unique challenge will go live across more than 20 cities in India, including Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi.
The campaign has been designed to encourage customers to offer a smile, a thank you, or a small gesture of appreciation when they receive their orders from delivery partners.According to Alpenliebe’s recently conducted ‘India’s Sweetness Report’, which surveyed nearly 28,000 delivery partners, delivery partners said that in nearly 2 out of every 5 instances, the customer experience was below average.
They also shared that 1 in every 4 deliveries ends without any greeting or even basic acknowledgement from customers. While most customers in India remain positive and respectful towards delivery partners who arrive at their doorstep, the findings indicate that there is still an opportunity to make these everyday interactions more meaningful.
This could be through a simple smile, saying thank you, offering a glass of water, acknowledging their effort, or simply being kind.Komal Arora from Swiggy Food Marketplace’s Drivers and Delivery Organisation said, “Delivery partners are the backbone of our business. We believe that gifting them moments of happiness during their everyday interactions with customers can have a positive impact on their overall experience.”
The ‘Alpenliebe Sweetest City Challenge’ aims to celebrate kindness in everyday moments and remind customers that even small gestures can make a meaningful difference to those who help deliver convenience to their doorsteps.
