DK Shivakumar Chief Minister of Karnataka inaugurated the FKCCI Global CSR & Sustainability Summit 2026, organised in association with the UN Global Compact Network India. And he spoke that
Congratulations to the CSR and Sustainability Award winners, whose work reminds us that business success and social impact can go hand in hand.
CSR is not a cheque. It is a commitment. Every rupee spent in Karnataka must remain in Karnataka and create visible, lasting change for our people. We are committed to bringing greater transparency and accountability to CSR implementation through a dedicated Karnataka CSR Policy.
One of my biggest aspirations is to see 2,000 government schools transformed into world class institutions through corporate partnerships, ensuring every child, whether in Bengaluru, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Vijayapura or Bidar, has access to quality education. I urged companies to adopt schools, colleges, skill centres and aspirational districts, because Karnataka’s growth story must reach every corner of our state.
Together, Government, industry, academia and civil society can build a Karnataka where every has the opportunity to dream, learn and succeed.
