Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in association with the Association of Old Crows (AoC), India Chapter, and leading industry partners M/s Infinipoint, MathWorks, Ansys, Keysight and Synopsys is organising a two day National Seminar on “Engineering the Future Battlespace: Electronic Warfare, Digital Twin and Mission Critical System Design (NETRA-2026)” during 11–12 August 2026, followed by a hands-on workshop on 13 August 2026. The Seminar was inaugurated by Chief Guest of the event Dr B K Das, DG(ECS) in presence of Guest of Honour Mr Manoj Jain , CMD BEL and Mr Sunil Motawani, MathWorks.
NETRA-2026 is a perfect blend in bringing together representatives from the Indian Armed Forces, DRDO, Defence Public Sector Undertakings, academia and industry on a common platform to deliberate on emerging technologies and engineering approaches shaping the future battlespace. The seminar focuses on Key Futuristic and Niche Technologies in Electronic Warfare, Digital Twin, Artificial Intelligence, Radar, Radio Frequency (RF) Systems, FPGA Design, Mission-Critical Systems and Digital Engineering.
The event provides an opportunity for experts, researchers, technology developers and end-users to exchange knowledge, share operational perspectives and showcase advancements in next-generation defence technologies. Special emphasis is being placed on the integration of advanced modelling, simulation, digital engineering and intelligent systems to accelerate the design, development, validation and deployment of mission-critical capabilities.
The hands-on workshop scheduled on 13 August 2026 will provide participants with practical exposure to contemporary tools, technologies and engineering methodologies relevant to defence applications. NETRA-2026 is expected to strengthen collaboration among the Services, DRDO, Defence PSUs and industry, while promoting indigenous innovation, technology development and capability building towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the evolving requirements of the future battlespace.
