Semiconductor Future Accelerator Lab (SFAL), a K-Tech Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Fabless Semiconductors, today announced the exchange of seven strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading organisations across India’s semiconductor and deep-tech ecosystem at SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi.
The MoUs were exchanged in the presence of officials of the Government of Karnataka,Sri. MB Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Commerce & Industries, Government of Karnataka, and members of the SFAL Board. The partnerships bring together complementary capabilities across semiconductor research, design, manufacturing, electronic design automation, workforce development, investment, technology commercialisation and startup acceleration.
SFAL entered into MoU partnerships with:

• FourFront Ltd. (FFL)
• PeachTree Elevate
• Aarayaa Advisory Services
• Kaynes Semicon Pvt. Ltd.
• WOWSEMI Foundation
• Silvaco Inc.
Together, the partnerships are intended to strengthen connections between startups, academia, manufacturers, technology providers, investors and industry stakeholders, creating greater access to expertise, technology, talent, capital and market opportunities.

Advancing Semiconductor Technology, Design and Manufacturing
The partnerships with Kaynes Semicon Pvt. Ltd., FourFront Ltd. and Silvaco Inc. strengthen the technology development and industry engagement dimensions of SFAL’s ecosystem.
Kaynes Semicon Pvt. Ltd. brings semiconductor manufacturing expertise and industry experience to the partnership. The collaboration is expected to create opportunities for startups to better understand manufacturing requirements, improve product readiness and strengthen the journey from technology development and validation to production and commercialisation.
FourFront Ltd. (FFL) brings industry engagement, strategic connections and market-oriented opportunities to the ecosystem. Its partnership with SFAL will focus on strengthening India’s indigenous automotive electronics and semiconductor ecosystem, with opportunities in areas including advanced power electronics, electric vehicle architectures and active electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression systems.
The collaboration is intended to support innovation and industry engagement in automotive electronics and related semiconductor applications, while helping startups understand the technical, commercial and market requirements associated with these sectors.
Silvaco Inc. brings global expertise in semiconductor design and electronic design automation (EDA). Its collaboration with SFAL will create opportunities for startups to access relevant design tools, technical knowledge and industry perspectives, supporting the development and validation of semiconductor technologies.
Together, these partnerships strengthen the technology development pipeline by connecting startups with capabilities spanning semiconductor design, EDA, manufacturing, industry engagement and market access.
Connecting Research, Talent and Startup Capability The MoUs with IISc CeNSE, WOWSEMI Foundation and PeachTree Elevate strengthen SFAL’s focus on research collaboration, knowledge exchange, workforce development and startup capability building.
IISc Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE) brings advanced academic, research and technical capabilities in nanoscience, nanoelectronics and semiconductor technologies. The partnership will create opportunities for startups and emerging professionals to engage with research expertise, specialised knowledge and capabilities relevant to prototyping, innovation and technology development.
The collaboration also strengthens the connection between academic research and industry-led innovation, supporting pathways for emerging technologies to progress towards validation and commercialisation.
WOWSEMI Foundation, also known as Wafer On Wheels Semiconductor Foundation, is an Indian independent Section 8 non-profit organisation focused on experiential semiconductor skill development and ecosystem initiatives. Its partnership with SFAL will support community engagement, awareness, knowledge sharing and talent-focused programmes. The collaboration will contribute to stronger connections between startups, industry and emerging semiconductor talent, while supporting the development of a futureready workforce.
PeachTree Elevate will contribute to startup mentoring, capability building and business-oriented guidance. The partnership will support founders and teams in strengthening their entrepreneurial, strategic and commercial capabilities as they build and scale deep-tech businesses.
With its focus on global mobility and deep-tech skilling, PeachTree Elevate will also contribute to workforce enablement by supporting engineering talent preparing for high-technology domains. Together, these partnerships strengthen the talent and capability pipeline by connecting startups, researchers, students, professionals, mentors and industry stakeholders.
Strengthening Investment Readiness and Strategic Support
The MoU with Aarayaa Advisory Services strengthens SFAL’s focus on investment readiness and strategic support for semiconductor startups.
The collaboration will support emerging companies in strengthening business plans, identifying appropriate funding opportunities and developing connections with investors and strategic partners. It will also create opportunities for startups to access guidance across areas such as fundraising, financial planning, strategic positioning, investor engagement and business development — helping bridge the gap between technology development and commercial scale.
Strengthening India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem
The partnerships are aligned with the broader objectives of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) to build a sustainable semiconductor and display ecosystem in India, strengthen domestic capabilities across the semiconductor value chain, promote investment and innovation, and develop the talent and infrastructure required for long-term industry growth.
The seven MoUs reinforce SFAL’s role as a platform connecting startups, industry, academia, technology providers, manufacturers, investors and ecosystem organisations.
By bringing together capabilities across research, semiconductor design, EDA, manufacturing, talent development, investment and market access, the partnerships create a more connected pathway for emerging companies — from research and innovation through technology development and validation to manufacturing, commercialisation and market adoption.
The seven MoU exchanges at SEMICON India 2026 mark another step in SFAL’s efforts to build a collaborative, industry-driven ecosystem that supports semiconductor innovation, entrepreneurship, technology development, talent creation, investment, manufacturing and commercialisation.
